Awwad - my friend and partner at Sol - is a no-nonsense kinda guy.

A few days before his birthday, he got angry. And he accidentally smashed his own phone on the floor in anger. It got repaired the next day, but you bet your bottom we aren’t letting this joke go!

We made a cake to commemorate this ill-targeted outrage, had loads of food, and danced all night afterwards.

Happy Birthday Awwad! We love you, and we cannot possibly run Cafe Sol and iO without you!
